Apart from the known qualities attributed to a leader, such as leadership, communication and confidence,  

These are  7  Top qualities that make a CEO

1. Foresight

A CEO should have the ability to think out of the box, foresee eventualities, analyse the plus and minus of every case, and be update with developments of the company.

2. Adaptability

A CEO must be flexible to cope with change and employ change management practises in the company as per situations.  He needs to spend substantial amount of time to keep improvising on the actions all the time.

3. Reliability

A CEO has to exercise transparent actions and behaviour in every action.  He/She must learn to generate trust factor among the members of board and employees, that comes from high level of integrity.   A CEO must learn to handle hard situations and take ownership of every project in the company.

4. Decisiveness

A CEO must be clear in thinking and must have a strong mind-set to face any obstacles and emerge as a decisive person in conflicting moments of company’s phase

5. Impactfulness

A CEO must be outcome driven, not mainly output driven person. The real focus of a CEO should be on return on investment and impact simultaneously for greater sustainability.

6. Team Building

A CEO must have a core team of like minded people around himself, who will executive his mind and translate every plan into action. He must identify the right kind of people to be part of the core team.

7 Receptivity

A CEO must be warm  and be a good listener. He/She must show genuine interest in the affairs of the company and its people.

Qualities gained are qualities earned. These seven qualities make an ordinary person an extraordinary CEO of a company.
